While introducing Sanjay Dutt to the audience and asking him to come on stage, MIFF chairman and Oman Film Society (OFS) director Dr Mohammed Al Zadjali said Sanjay was not only a brilliant actor himself, but was the son of two leading luminaries of the Indian film industry, Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt.

Sanjay Dutt in his earlier speech had said that it was heart-warming to note even in the present times there were so many Omanis, who were die-hard fans of his parents, especially his mother Nargis’ roles in films like Mother India, Awara, Shree 420 and Chori Chori to name a few.

Und dieses Zitat aus Sanjus Presseinterview vom Flughafen nehmen wir noch gesondert und gerne zur Kenntnis:

"I have resigned from Samajwadi Party and I was happy to do that. I just got a chance to breathe. But it will be great if Amar bhai (big brother) goes to Congress. And I would love to campaign for the Congress... You know the Dutt family is close to the Congress. Let’s see where it goes, but I prefer to be an actor rather than being in politics."
