Dieser Titel ist in keiner mir bekannten Sanjay-Dutt-Filmliste verzeichnet, aber es ist Fakt: 1998 absolvierte Sanju einen kleinen Gastauftritt in Krishna Vamsis Telugu-Film Chandralekha, der auf dem Film While You Were Sleeping basiert. Sanju spielte darin die kleine Rolle, die zwei Jahre später in dem Hindi-Remake Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega Shahrukh Khan übernahm. Da Ram Gopal Varma, mit dem Sanju kurz zuvor noch Daud gedreht hat, Vamsis Mentor war, könnte ich mir vorstellen, dass dieser Gastauftritt (der bislang einzige mir bekannt gewordene Ausflug Sanjus in die südindische Filmszene) dadurch zustandegekommen ist.
Ich habe den Film sofort geordert und werde so bald wie möglich näheres berichten. Vielen Dank an Moloko für den Hinweis auf diesen Fund!
This film is not to be found in any Sanjay Dutt Filmography known to me, but it's fact that in 1998, Sanju did a guest appearance in Krishna Vamsi's Telugu film Chandralekha, basing on the Hollywood movie While You Were Sleeping. Sanju played the small role which two years later in the Hindi remake Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega was played by Shahrukh Khan. As Ram Gopal Varma was Vamsi's mentor, it might be possible that this guest appearance has something to do with him as Sanju only shortly before had made Daud with RGV. This is till now the only appearance of Sanju in a South Indian film which is known to me.
