White Feather Films - Quo Vadis?

Anbei eine Übersicht über Projekte, die Sanjay Dutt und Sanjay Gupta gemeinsam für White Feather Films geplant hatten, nach Sanjus Ausstieg aus der Firma nunmehr jedoch entweder ohne ihn oder voraussichtlich überhaupt nicht realisiert wurden/werden.

Here I collected some projects originally planned by Sanjay Dutt and Sanjay Gupta for White Feather Films which now, after Sanju resigned from this banner, were/will be made either without him or probably not at all.

Chamki

Sanjay Gupta bezeichnet dieses Filmprojekt von Shyam Benegal, das auf dem Opernstoff Carmen basiert, als das spannendste und ehrgeizigste Projekt von White Feather Films. Allerdings gibt Gupta zu, Probleme damit zu haben, eine Hauptdarstellerin zu finden: Bereits fünf Top-Schauspielerinnen empfanden die Rolle als zu negativ. Noch scheint das Projekt jedoch noch nicht vom Tisch.
Ursprünglich gab es auch Gerüchte über ein WFF-Projekt namens Chamki Chameli, in dem Sanjay Dutt und Kareena Kapoor mitwirken sollten. Möglich, dass es sich dabei um dieses Carmen-Projekt gehandelt hat.

Sanjay Gupta calls Shyam Benegal's project, based on the opera Carmen, as White Feather Films' most exciting and ambitious project. But he also admits that he is facing problems casting the female lead as already five top actresses considered the role as too negative. Nevertheless, the project doesn't seem to be stalled yet.
Once the grapevine also talked about a WFF project named Chamki Chameli with Sanjay Dutt and Kareena Kapoor. Maybe this Carmen project was meant by that.

Chashme-Buddoor (Remake)

Angeblich planen Sanjay Dutt und Sanjay Gupta ein Remake des Films Chashme-Buddoor aus dem Jahre 1981 mit Kareena Kapoor und Shahid Kapoor. Beide bestätigen, dass Dutt und Gupta deswegen an sie herangetreten sind, seitdem sei jedoch noch nichts weiter geschehen; vermutlich wird noch am Skript gearbeitet.

Allegedly Sanjay Dutt and Sanjay Gupta are planning a remake of the 1981 film Chashme-Buddoor with Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor. Both confirm that they have been contacted by Dutt and Gupta but that nothing happened since then; probably the script is still worked upon.

Hamari Maange Puri Karo

White Feather Films hat Deepak Tijori für diese geplante Komödie verpflichtet. Ob Sanjay Dutt nur produziert oder auch mitspielt, verrät der Artikel nicht.

White Feather Films is said to have signed Deepak Tijori for this comedy. But since then I never again read anything about this project.

Ein Sanjay-Gupta-Thriller, der angeblich ohne weibliche Hauptfigur auskommen wird. Auf der Besetzungsliste stehen Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Arjun Rampal, Aftab Shivdasani und (in der negativen Hauptrolle) Suniel Shetty. Der Film spielt komplett in den USA und wird zusammen mit einer Hollywood Crew gedreht.
Bei diesem Film werden Sanjay Gupta und Sanjay Dutt übrigens erstmals mit der Musikfirma Collossus zusammenarbeiten, deren Miteigentümer Sanjus Schwager Kumar Gaurav ist.

White Feather Arthouse Films produziert diesen experimentellen Film mit Bipasha Basu. Die Handlung über einen Kinderschauspieler, der in androgyner Ambiguität aufwächst, wurde inspiriert von dem Leben des Kinderdarstellers Ehsaas Channa, aka Ashish Channa (was Gupta Ende Juni 2007 eine Anzeige von der Mutter dieses Jungen eingebracht hat, die wohl ihre Persönlichkeitsrechte gefährdet sah).

White Feather Arthouse Films produces this experimental film with Bipasha Basu. The story about a child actor growing up in androgyne ambiguity was inspired by the life of child actor Ehsaas Channa, aka Ashish Channa (which led to Gupta being sued in June 2007 by Channa's mother who obviously didn't like the idea of her son's life being borrowed for a film story).
